Compounded medications, including semaglutide and tirzepatide, are assigned a beyond-use date(BUD) in accordance with pharmacy compounding standards and state-specific regulatory guidance. Due to current guidance within the state of Washington, refrigerated compounded medications are assigned a maximum BUD of 90 days, regardless of previously assigned longer dating by the dispensing pharmacy. Prior to
the July 2025 ruling in Washington, these peptides had nearly a one year BUD.
